Simmons sd7pk software

I will go in tomorrow with the snare, the brain and the cable and have them set it up on the floor model and figure it out for me. So i go back to GC for the third time, this time i pack the whole sd7k up in the car with the new sd7pk module, mind you the Snare Rim is NOT working, what do they do???? I leave with a whole new SD7PK!!! WOW i am blown away. Guitar Center took care of ME!!

So whats different from the k and pk? The snare and toms are all rubber , no more plastic to bang into. I have a 15 year old daughter I want to teach.. Is that likely to be an issue with the pads? I know I can also tweak settings in the brain so I may also see if I can make adjustments there to see if that helps. Thoughts on that? I can do some experimentation on my own but I'm hopeful someone may have some insight that'll help point me in the right direction.
